Vivo X Fold+ looks hot or not? What’s your opinion?

Vivo X Fold+ looks hot or not? What’s your opinion? The Vivo X Fold+, with its 8-inch folding screen, updated CPU, and bigger battery, is the week’s biggest release. Will you be compelled to pull out your credit card to buy it? Many people will be interested in how widely available the X Fold+ is, but Vivo has not yet said whether or not the device will be sold elsewhere but in China.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the Plus version of the X Fold will make up for the fact that the initial model never went on a global tour. Let’s get the cost of the Vivo X Fold+ out of the way, too: the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs CNY 9,999 (about $1,400/€1,440/INR 114,500), while the version with 512GB of storage costs CNY 10,999. Comparable devices include the Oppo Find N, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Fold4.

To compete with the newest Samsung and Xiaomi foldable, the X Fold+ has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, a significant upgrade over the SD 8 Gen 1 in terms of both performance and battery life. The X Fold+ also has an improved battery over the X Fold, with a 4,730mAh cell that can power the device for over two more hours of movie playing compared to the X Fold’s 4,600 mAh battery.

The patented Vivo wireless charger can provide up to 50W of power wirelessly, making it the fastest wireless charger available for a foldable smartphone. The screen is still the same high-quality LTPO E5 Samsung AMOLED as before, with a 2K+ resolution (1920 by 2160 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate.
You’ll be stuck with a somewhat off-kilter presentation of applications like Instagram due to the device’s unusual 4:3.55 aspect ratio.

There’s a better anti-reflective coating on the screen, and it’s approved for HDR 10+. The vivo’s cover display, which offers a more standard 21:9 aspect ratio, is one of the device’s most significant advantages over rivals like the Galaxy Z Fold4. Simply put, this should make it more convenient when you don’t want to bring up the whole screen.

You get a 12MP camera with a 47mm lens for 2x portraiture and an 8MP periscope camera with 5x magnification (60x digital zoom) and OIS, in addition to an average 50MP wide and 48MP ultrawide camera. This configuration, identical to the one seen on the original X Fold, makes the device more adaptable than any other foldable on the market.

The X Fold+ is still relatively large and heavy at 311 grams in terms of physical dimensions. You can forget about the Mix Fold 2 (262 grams), the Z Fold4 (263 grams), or any other smartphone on the market; that’s a lot of weight to carry around. Unfolded, its dimensions are more significant than both of those gadgets, measuring 162 x 144.9 x 6.3 mm.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any recognized rating for ingress protection. On the software side, you’ll find Android 12, not the 12L version tailored to foldable and tablets, and Vivo’s Origin OS Ocean. There are a few nifty extras, like a mode that allows you to place the gadget on a surface in a half-unfolded form to view movies or make video chats, but that’s about it.

As far as folding phone software goes, Samsung is still at the forefront and won’t be overtaken shortly. Unlike the original Vivo X Fold, the X Fold+ is available in a vibrant new hue called Huaxia Red. After discussing the benefits and drawbacks of the X Fold+, we may examine its rivals. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 has a big screen and is currently the best folding smartphone on the market.

Only the Z Flip4 can claim to be water-resistant to the IPX8 standard, and it also features the most refined software experience and the newest Qualcomm processor. The Z Fold4 has a lot going for it, including pen compatibility, a large battery, and cool features like Samsung DeX. While the cameras aren’t entirely as trustworthy as those found on the S22 and S22+, they are on par with those found on the S22.

However, the maximum power output for charging remains at a meager 25W, making it fall well behind competitors. Another option is the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which has a 4,500 mAh battery and 67W fast charging in addition to a comparable 8-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 CPU. There is a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom. Thus the camera quality is reasonably good.
