Vivo V70, V70 Elite Specifications and Design surface ahead of official launch

Vivo has officially confirmed the full specifications of its upcoming Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite. The brand is positioning the V70 series as one of the most feature-packed smartphone lineups of the year. Both devices combine flagship-grade hardware, advanced camera technology, and long-term software support. Therefore, they are targeting users who want premium performance without compromise.
Display & Premium Design
The Vivo V70 Elite and V70 feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This delivers smooth visuals and vibrant colors. With a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits and ultra-slim 1.25mm narrow bezels, the display is designed for excellent outdoor visibility. In addition, it is ideal for immersive content consumption.

Performance and Hardware
In terms of performance, the Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3, delivering near-flagship performance. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, delivering efficient performance and strong everyday performance. Both smartphones use LPDDR5X RAM paired with UFS 4.1 storage. This ensures fast app launches, smooth multitasking, and high-speed data transfer.

Camera with Zeiss Optics
Camera performance is a major highlight of the V70 series. The phones feature a 50MP primary camera, using the LYT-700V sensor on the V70 Elite and the Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS on the V70. These deliver sharp images with improved low-light stability. This is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP Sony IMX882 3× periscope telephoto lens. As a result, users enjoy high-quality zoom photography. On the front, both models come with a 50MP JN1 selfie camera. The entire camera system is enhanced with Zeiss optics, ensuring accurate colors and professional-grade imaging.

Battery, Durability & Security
Powering the devices is a large 6500mAh battery, supported by 90W fast charging for quick top-ups. Vivo has also included Bypass Charging, which allows the phone to draw power directly from the charger during heavy usage, such as gaming. This reduces heat and protects battery health.

On the software side, the Vivo V70 Elite and V70 ship with Android 16 based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Vivo has officially confirmed 4 years of Android OS updates along with 6 years of security updates. This makes the V70 series one of the best in its segment for long-term software support.

For durability and security, both smartphones come with IP68 and IP69 water and dust-resistance, offering protection against harsh conditions. They also feature a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, providing faster and more secure biometric unlocking.
Launch
With officially confirmed flagship-level specifications, premium build quality, and extended update support, the Vivo V70 Elite and Vivo V70 are set to be strong contenders in the premium smartphone market. Vivo is expected to announce launch details, pricing, and availability in India soon.
