Vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini launch with new design and upgraded processors

Finally, the wait for the Vivo S50 series is over. Vivo launched the Vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini in China. Both mid-rangers arrived with upgrades in design and some key specs compared to their predecessors.
Vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini Specifications
Vivo S50 features a smaller 6.59” 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, which is larger than its predecessor. The Vivo S50 Pro mini has the same compact 6.31″ 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED panel as its predecessor.

Both the S50 models feature Snapdragon processors: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the S50 and the 8 Gen 5 chip for the S50 Pro mini variant. It’s gonna be a major upgrade over its predecessors.
On the camera option, they share a similar triple camera setup with a 50MP main shooter (IMX921), a 50MP telephoto lens (IMX882) with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. There will be a 50MP selfie camera for both devices.

Among other features, the Vivo S50 series duo has OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, an updated ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an IP68+IP69 rating, and 6,500 mAh Si/C batteries with 90W wired charging. The Vivo S50 Pro mini will also feature 40W wireless charging.




The Vivo S50 is available in white, blue, purple, and black colors.

The pricing for Vivo S50 starts from CNY 2,999 ($425) for the 12/256GB trim, and CNY 3,599 ($510) for the 16/512GB version.
On the other hand, the Vivo S50 Pro mini starts at CNY 3,699 ($524) for the 12/256GB base variant and CNY 4,299 ($609) for the 16/512GB model.
The Vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini are on pre-order through Vivo’s official webstore with deliveries scheduled for Friday, December 19.
