Tecno Camon 50 and 50 Pro Launched with 144Hz AMOLED, 50MP Cameras, and 6,150mAh Battery

Although Tecno had planned to introduce the Camon 50 lineup at MWC next month, the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro have already launched in select African markets. This duo arrived with almost identical specs, except difference in screen and camera specs.
Tecno Camon 50 series Specifications
The Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro both feature a 6.78″ 144Hz AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. The only difference is that the Pro model has a curved design, while the non-Pro model does not.

They are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G200 Ultimate chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Both phones run on HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and Tecno’s AI suite.

Both phones sport a 50MP main camera (23mm equivalent) with Sony’s LYT700C (1/1.56″) sensor and OIS. They also include an 8MP ultra-wide lens (14mm) with an f/2.2 aperture. The Camon 50 Pro adds a third camera—a 50MP telephoto lens (70mm equivalent) that delivers 3× optical zoom. On the front panel, they have a 32MP selfie camera.
Both phones come with 6,150mAh batteries and support 45W wired charging. They also offer robust ingress protection with IP69K, IP69, and IP68 ratings.

Tecno offers the Camon 50 series in Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, Nebula Titanium, Fir Green, Lavender Mist, and Mint Cream. The Camon 50 Pro comes in all these colors plus an extra Ethereal Blue option.
The Tecno Camon 50 starts at KES 37,500 ($290), while the Camon 50 Pro begins at KES 44,000 ($341). Kenyan online retailers currently list both phones for sale.
