Redmi Turbo 5 Max to debut with Dimensity 9500s chipset in China

Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi Turbo 5 Max as the first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500s chipset. Reports suggest that Xiaomi will launch the device later this month in China. This will officially bring the Dimensity 9500s platform to market.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500s targets the next generation of performance-focused smartphones. Early information suggests major gains in CPU and GPU performance, improved energy efficiency, and stronger AI performance. These improvements should make the chipset appealing to brands building flagship-level devices at competitive prices.

After Xiaomi’s debut, Oppo plans to use the same processor in the upcoming Oppo K15 Turbo Pro. This move will expand the Dimensity 9500s lineup beyond Xiaomi’s portfolio.
Other smartphone makers also plan to adopt this chipset. Vivo, Realme, and iQOO are preparing new models powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, signalling broad industry support.

With the Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 Max leading the rollout, the Dimensity 9500s is set to drive the next wave of high-performance smartphones. This will intensify competition in the premium mid-range segment in 2026.
