Poco M8 Pro 5G Launches With 120Hz AMOLED and Snapdragon Chip at Budget Price
Xiaomi launched the Poco M8 5G series today with two variants- Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Pro 5G. Already, we reported on the Poco M8 5G. Now, let’s see what the Pro variant is offering us.
The Pro model also arrives with decent performance-based specs, impressive battery power, and a quality OLED panel at a budget price.
POCO M8 Pro 5G Specifications
The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a 6.83-inch 120HZ AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. This display will offer HDR10+ support, 3840Hz PWM dimming, DC Dimming, and Dolby Vision. It will also provide up to 3200 nits of peak brightness and Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. For dust and water protection, it will offer IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings.
For performance, there will be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 15 OS based HyperOS 2 custom skin.
On the rear panel, it will offer a dual camera setup: a 50MP Light Fusion 800 (1/1.55inch) main camera + an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor. On the front, it sports a 32MP selfie camera. It has a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired fast charging support and up to 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Among other features and connectivity options, there will be stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an in-display fingerprint scanner, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G, GPS, and dual nano SIM support.
Poco M8 Pro 5G price and color options
The POCO M8 Pro is available in three color options: Silver, Black, and Green.
Pricing starts at $299 (£299/€349) for the 8GB/256GB base model, while the 12GB/512GB variant costs $359 (£349/€399). Additionally, the company is offering a $20 launch discount during the early bird offer. The early bird offers last only till January 14. The device is rolling out in the UK and select European markets.
