Motorola launched the entry-level duo- Moto G and Moto G Play (2026)

Motorola launched the Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) a while ago. Though released in late 2025, these low-budget duos are branded as the 2026 model tag to align with next year’s lineup.
The G series is one of the entry-level devices of Motorola. Both of them are almost identical in terms of key specifications.

The Moto G and Moto G Play both feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, featuring up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, IP52 water resistance, and 5G connectivity.


The company hasn’t revealed much about the processor details, but there will be Android 16 in terms of the Operating system.
The Moto G comes with a 50MP rear camera, while the Play variant has a small 32MP main sensor on the back. On the front, there will be a 32MP and an 8MP selfie camera, respectively.
Like most 2025 phones, these include light AI features such as Night Vision and auto-smile detection for casual photos.
Both the Moto G and the Moto G Play feature 5,200 mAh batteries with 30W and 18W fast charging support, respectively.
Price and Availability
The Moto G 2026 has arrived at a price of $199.99 in the U.S.. The sale will begin on December 11 through Motorola’s website and later at major retailers and carriers.
The Moto G Play 2026 sale begins on November 13 for $169.99, available through various retailers and carriers. Both models will launch in Canada around the same period.
