The certification also reveals their charging speeds. The standard Mate 80 supports 66W wired charging, while both the Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro+ go up to 100W fast charging. This upgrade highlights Huawei’s push for faster power solutions in its flagship lineup.

Rumors from China suggest that one of these devices could debut a new Kirin chipset, while another will focus heavily on advanced imaging technology. These changes may make the Mate 80 lineup stand out in performance and photography.

Huawei Mate 80 series design details

The certification confirms that the camera island across all three models will have a centered round design. A dual-tone LED flash sits on the upper left side of the island, maintaining Huawei’s recognizable Mate series style.

Earlier leaks also suggested the possibility of a built-in cooling fan in at least one model. Unlike traditional placements, the fan could be located next to the camera island instead of being embedded in the frame. Despite this addition, Huawei is expected to deliver solid water resistance across the lineup.
