Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL both are just receiving the last update by July. Google had three years of updates at this point and they’re not done yet. The update was supposed to end there, but it looks like they’re giving a bit more time to these two phones – the Pixel 3a and 3a XL.
You may have forgotten that Google did not always promise a long support in software for their Pixel phones. As recently as three years ago, their security updates promise was only for three years of updates. And guess what devices launched three years ago? The affordable Pixel 3a and 3a XL, so this update should be their last one. This last update will be delivered to the Pixel 3a and 3a XL by July, in Google’s own words.

This does not necessarily mean that it will happen in July, or when the monthly update hits the rest of the Pixels. But by July if you own a Pixel 3A or 3A Xl, you will be receiving its last ever software update, so perhaps this is a good time to start looking for an alternative smartphone – one which still gets updates, especially security updates.
The 3a and 3A Xl were the first Pixels to venture into mid-range territory, and now their story is almost coming to a close – but the A line (for “affordable”?) lives on.
You should start looking for a replacement phone because the Pixel 3a and 3a XL do not have any software updates left. The software updates from Google will be available to devices by July.
