Google Pixel 10a India launch with bright AMOLED display, large battery, and recycled design
Google has launched its Google Pixel 10a in India today. Major highlights are its recyclable design and the biggest battery ever in a Pixel smartphone. It is now on pre-order on Flipkart and the Google India store, while the official sale will begin from 6 March.
Pixel 10a Display and Build: 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED, IP68, and Recycled Materials
The Pixel 10a arrives with a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED (Actua Display) with1080 × 2424 resolution, offering up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It is the brightest pixel A-series phone ever.
The handset carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and uses Gorilla Glass 7i to protect the front. It also features an aluminum frame paired with a plastic rear panel. According to the phone’s official page, the aluminum in the chassis is made from 100% recycled material, while the back cover uses at least 81% recycled plastic.
It is 9.04mm in thickness and weighs 184.7g. The Pixel 10a is available in four colour options: Obsidian, Fog, Berry, and Lavender
Performance
Pixel 10a runs on the powerful Tensor G4 processor and offers smart software features, including Camera Coach, Gemini Live, Nano Banana, and Circle to Search. It will run on Android 16 out of the box. Google promised 7 years of OS + security updates also.
The octa-core CPU is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage without any expandable memory option.
Camera and Photography
On the rear panel, it will have a dual camera setup including a 48MP wide (with macro focus) main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide lens. For selfie and video calls, it has a 13MP front camera. It captures stunning 4K UHD video at 60fps and lets you edit images with digital zoom on its dual rear cameras.
Battery and other features
The Pixel 10a features a 5,100mAh battery – the largest battery in a Pixel A series smartphone. There will be 30W wired charging and 10W wireless charging support. According to the company, the battery lasts over 30 hours on a single charge and supports up to 1,000 charge cycles.
Among other features, the Pixel 10a supports dual-SIM and 5G connectivity, includes Google’s Titan M2 security chip, USB Type-C, face unlock.
Google Pixel 10a Price in India
Pixel 10a retains last year’s Pixel 9a’s ₹49,999 price. While offering a brighter display, a larger battery, a Tensor G4 processor, and 7 years of software updates.
