Xiaomi Poco M8 series to debut in India by January 2026

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is reportedly lining up the Poco M8 Series for an India launch in January 2026. This marks the first major refresh of its affordable mid-range lineup next year. The lineup is expected to include two models, Poco M8 and Poco M8 Pro. Early industry whispers suggest both could be rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+, customised under the Poco identity.

Although no names were confirmed, the timing aligns perfectly with M8 Series leaks.

POCO M Series begins again

Poco M8 with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

Rumours indicate the Poco M8 will arrive with a 6.77-inch FHD+ curved OLED display (2772 × 1080) at 120Hz. This offers smooth visuals and a premium touch rarely seen at this tier. The phone may run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, with a 5520mAh battery and 45W fast charging.

For durability, an IP65 rating for dust and water protection is expected. On the cameras, the device reportedly carries a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP selfie camera, covering everyday usage.

Poco M8 Pro Bigger battery & 100W charging

The Poco M8 Pro steps up with a 6.83-inch curved OLED panel, featuring a sharper 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, leaks mention a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, coupled with an enormous 6500mAh battery. Notably, it includes 100W charging support, possibly the fastest yet on an M-series phone.

Photography upgrades include a 50MP rear camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor, plus a 32MP front camera for high-quality selfies and video calls. Software testing points toward Android 15 with HyperOS 2, though commercial rollout details remain unclear.

Expectations

If accurate, the Poco M8 lineup may deliver the largest spec jump in M-series history, with curved OLEDs across both models. Larger batteries, new-gen Snapdragon platforms, water resistance, and improved camera hardware are expected.

With Poco India already teasing that a “new chapter” for the M Series is loading, all eyes are now on early-January launch windows. Pricing, storage variants, and regional details are still unknown, but more certification leaks and official teasers are expected soon.
