Vivo to Launch X500 Series and iQOO 16 Ultra With 2K Resolution Displays

Leaks and rumors have been circulating about the Vivo X500 series for a while amid the smartphone mania. Today, a new leak has surfaced on Weibo about the display of this series.
The reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that Vivo plans to go all in on 2K resolution, with Vivo’s next flagship lineup expected to use flat 2K screens. So, Vivo’s upcoming next all flagship devices will feature a 2K resolution display.

This is applicable for the Vivo X500 series, and could be the same for the iQOO 16 as well.
Another leaker revealed some features of the upcoming flagship smartphones
Another reliable leaker, Panda is Bald, has made the same claim and also shared additional details about upcoming flagship features from Vivo’s rival brands.

According to the leaker, Oppo’s Find X10 series will debut a 200MP camera, while Honor is reportedly preparing mid-range phones with massive 10,000mAh batteries. Huawei is also said to be experimenting with new foldable display designs. Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 series might prioritize major camera improvements.
Across the board, these flagship devices are likely to run on a new 2nm-based mobile processor. Xiaomi may continue using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, while Vivo and Oppo may adopt MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600.
For now, it is too early to discuss the X500 series in detail, as the company plans to launch several new phones in China over the coming months. As a result, the company may change its plans late in development, so readers should treat these details with caution.
