Vivo S2 official launch date teased along with design
Vivo has officially confirmed the launch date of the upcoming Vivo S2 in India. The smartphone will debut on August 6 at 12 PM IST. Alongside the announcement, the company has also revealed the phone’s design, while recent leaks have already hinted at its key specifications.
Vivo S2 design officially revealed
A dedicated microsite on vivo India’s official website showcases the design of the Vivo S2. The smartphone features a curved display with a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
On the back, the phone sports a pill-shaped horizontal camera module that houses two rear cameras alongside a circular LED flash. Meanwhile, the right edge carries the volume rocker and power button, while the top houses a secondary microphone and speaker grille.
Vivo says the S2 will offer a flagship-inspired design, powerful performance, advanced cameras, and an immersive audio-visual experience. However, the brand has yet to reveal its complete specifications.
Vivo S2 expected specifications
According to recent leaks, the Vivo S2 could feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will likely ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
For photography, the Vivo S2 may feature a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera alongside a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it could house a 32MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the handset is tipped to pack a 7,050mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It may also carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Previous reports suggest the Vivo S2 could launch in India with a price between INR 40,000 and INR 45,000. More official details will be announced at the launch event on August 6.
