Vivo S2 India launch tipped for August after nearly seven years since Vivo S1

Vivo appears set to revive its S-series smartphones in India after nearly seven years. A new leak has revealed the expected launch timeline of the upcoming Vivo S2, which could arrive as a new premium mid-range offering.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Vivo S2, carrying the model number V2576, will launch in India in early August 2026. The first sale could reportedly begin around August 15. The smartphone has also received Bluetooth SIG certification, suggesting that its official debut may not be far away.

As for pricing, the Vivo S2 is expected to launch below the Rs. 50,000 mark in India, although Vivo has yet to confirm any details.
The leak suggests that Vivo will position the S2 in the premium mid-range segment. If that happens, it could compete with devices like the OPPO Reno 16 Pro.

For those unfamiliar with the lineup, Vivo launched the original Vivo S1 in India back in 2019. It featured a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display, a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, a 16MP triple rear camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 18W charging. The phone debuted at a starting price of Rs. 17,990.
The upcoming Vivo S2 is expected to offer major upgrades over its predecessor. While its specifications remain under wraps, the tipster believes the phone will feature improved hardware and enhanced camera performance. It may also share some features with Vivo’s global V-series smartphones.
With the rumored launch just weeks away, more leaks about the Vivo S2’s chipset, display, cameras, battery, and pricing are expected to surface soon.
