Tecno Camon 50, Camon 50 Pro arrive with 50MP Sony Sensor, 20x Zoom
Tecno has officially started pre-orders for the Camon 50 series in Uganda. The new lineup includes the Tecno Camon 50 and Tecno Camon 50 Pro. Both are aimed at users who prioritize mobile photography, AI features, and strong durability.
Pre-Order Dates and Availability
Pre-orders for the Camon 50 series began on February 2, 2026. The standard Camon 50 will be available for pre-order until February 15, 2026. Meanwhile, the Camon 50 Pro will remain open until February 22, 2026. The company has confirmed that final payment verification must be completed by February 28, 2026.
In Uganda, the Tecno Camon 50 is priced at UGX 1,090,000, while the Camon 50 Pro is priced at UGX 1,190,000. Both smartphones are offered in a single configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
As part of the early bird promotion, buyers who place a UGX 50,000 deposit during the pre-order period will receive a UGX 50,000 cashback. This cashback is redeemable during purchase by February 28. Customers will also get free gifts during pre-order and final payment. In addition, there is free 9GB of data for three months and an extended 12+1-month warranty.
Camera, Durability and Key Highlights
The Camon 50 series strongly focuses on photography and AI features. Highlights include a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C Ultra Night Camera, AI 20× Super Zoom, Super-Zoom FlashSnap, and a 32MP front camera. Software features such as AI Auto Zoom, Live Photo, Best Moment 2.0, AI MindHub, and AI Art Gallery further enhance imaging and creative capabilities.
In terms of build and multimedia, the phones offer IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water-resistance ratings, Dolby Atmos audio, and Corning protection. This makes them more durable for everyday use.
Bangladesh Price and Launch (Expected)
The Tecno Camon 50 series is also expected to arrive in Bangladesh soon. Based on market expectations, the Tecno Camon 50 may be priced at around ৳38,000. Meanwhile, the Camon 50 Pro could launch at approximately ৳45,000 in Bangladesh.
Additionally, a few days ago, a first-look leak of the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra surfaced online. This hint suggests that Tecno may further expand the Camon 50 lineup with a higher-end Ultra model in the near future.
