Redmi Note 17 series key specifications leaked, may arrive in July

The Redmi Note 17 series has surfaced in a fresh round of leaks, revealing the key specifications of multiple upcoming models. The latest information suggests Xiaomi is preparing the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 Pro, and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max for the Chinese market, along with a global debut. Interestingly, the company may skip the Redmi Note 16 branding entirely and jump straight to the Note 17 lineup.

According to the leaks, the standard Redmi Note 17 could feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, a flat 1.5K display, a 50MP primary camera, and a 9,000mAh battery. The phone also may offer water resistance, although its exact IP rating is unknown yet.

The leak claims that the Redmi Note 17 Pro will launch with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, a flat 1.5K LTPS OLED display. Moreover, there would be a 50MP OIS main camera, a massive 9,000mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and an IP69 dust and water resistance rating.

The biggest upgrade could arrive with the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. According to the leak, it may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 processor, a 1.5K high refresh rate LTPS OLED display. For Photography, it would offer a 200MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera. Rumors say Xiaomi may also pack a 10,000mAh battery inside the Chinese variant while retaining an IP69 rating.

Expected launch timeline

The Redmi Note 17 is rumored to debut in July in China. While the Redmi Note 17 Pro and a possible Pro Max or Pro+ model could arrive later in late July or August.

At the moment, these specifications belong to the Chinese variants. Xiaomi may introduce different hardware configurations for global markets, and the India launch is still some time away. More details about the Redmi Note 17 series will emerge as the official launch gets closer.
