Redmi Note 17 series India launch officially set for August 6

Redmi has officially confirmed the India launch date for the Redmi Note 17 series. The company will unveil the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro on August 6.

Redmi Note 17 5G teased with 8,000mAh battery

Alongside the announcement, Redmi also shared teaser images of the Redmi Note 17 in Blue and Purple color options.The teasers confirm two major specifications of the Redmi Note 17.

The smartphone will feature an AMOLED display and pack a massive 8,000mAh battery, matching the Chinese variant that debuted earlier this month.

A recent Geekbench listing also revealed that the Indian Redmi Note 17 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. The tested unit carried 8GB of RAM and booted Android 16, likely with HyperOS 3 on top.

If Redmi brings the Chinese model to India without any major changes, the Redmi Note 17 will also feature a 50MP primary camera on the back and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Redmi will reveal the complete specifications, pricing, and availability of the Redmi Note 17 series at the launch event on August 6.
