Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max launch with flagship chipsets, 200MP cameras and huge batteries

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China. Both smartphones bring flagship Snapdragon chipsets, high-refresh-rate OLED displays, large batteries, and 200MP main cameras. However, the Pro Max takes things further with a larger display, a bigger battery, and upgraded cameras.

The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch flat OLED display with a 2510 x 1156 resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. The panel uses M11 luminescent material and reaches up to 2,200 nits of full-screen brightness. It also supports full-brightness DC dimming.

The K100 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset, which features one fewer GPU slice than the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The phone pairs it with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It also uses a 5,150mm² ice-cooled circulating pump, along with Xiaomi’s D2 discrete graphics chip and T1+ signal booster chip for better performance and connectivity.

For photography, the Redmi K100 Pro features a 200MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 32MP camera handles selfies and video calls.

The phone packs an 8,580mAh Jinshajiang battery with 26% silicon content and an energy density of 945Wh/L. It supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with 27W wired and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

The Redmi K100 Pro measures 8.55mm thick and weighs 218g. It comes in black, white, shimmering light, and Cabernet Sauvignon red. Other features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP66/IP68/IP69 protection, and HyperOS 3.0.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max features a larger 6.9-inch flat OLED display with a 2608 x 1200 resolution. Like the standard Pro model, it supports a 185Hz refresh rate and uses M11 luminescent material.

The Pro Max uses the full-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It also comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi has increased the size of its ice-cooled circulating pump to 6,300 mm² to improve heat management.

The camera setup also gets a major upgrade. The Redmi K100 Pro Max features a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

Powering the phone is a massive 9,070mAh battery with 16% silicon content. It supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W wired reverse charging, and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

Despite its larger battery and display, the Pro Max measures just 8.45mm thick and weighs 238g. It features a glass fiber rear panel and comes in black, gold, blue, and red color options.

The Pro Max also gets upgraded connectivity and audio features. It comes with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and a 2.1-channel speaker system with dual 1115D master-level speakers and Deco 2016 tablet-level speakers. Like the standard Pro, it also offers an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP66/IP68/IP69 protection, and HyperOS 3.0.

The Redmi K100 Pro starts at CNY 3,699 (around $550) for the 12GB/256GB model. The 12GB/512GB version costs CNY 4,099 (around $610), while the 16GB/256GB model is priced at CNY 4,299 (around $640). The top-end 16GB/512GB version costs CNY 4,699 (around $700).

The Redmi K100 Pro Max starts at CNY 4,499 (around $670) for the 12GB/256GB version. The 12GB/512GB model costs CNY 4,899 (around $730), while the 16GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 5,099 (around $760). The 16GB/512GB model costs CNY 5,499 (around $820), while the top-end 16GB/1TB version carries a CNY 5,999 (around $890) price tag.
