Redmi 17 launches in Bangladesh with a 7,500mAh battery, 120Hz display, and 50MP camera

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 17 in Bangladesh as its newest budget offering. The entry-level smartphone brings a 7,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, a 6.9-inch 120Hz display, and a 50MP main camera.

The Redmi 17 features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ (720 × 1600 pixels) resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the panel, which covers about 86.2% of the front. It measures 170.1 × 78.4 × 8.8mm and weighs 232g.

Under the hood, Xiaomi equips the smartphone with the 12nm MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset. It pairs two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, alongside a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Buyers can choose between 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations, with microSD expansion available through the shared SIM slot. It runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box.

For photography, the Redmi 17 packs a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor with PDAF, supported by an auxiliary lens. On the front, it features an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Both cameras record video at 1080p at 30fps.

The smartphone houses a 7,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. Additionally, the Redmi 17 offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP65-rated body, NFC, an infrared blaster, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port. However, the device skips 5G connectivity and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Xiaomi Redmi 17 price and availability

The Redmi 17 comes in Green, Blue, and Black color options in Bangladesh. Xiaomi has priced the 4GB + 128GB variant at BDT 22,999 plus VAT, while the 6GB + 128GB model costs BDT 24,999 plus VAT. The smartphone is officially available now through Xiaomi’s authorised outlets across the country.
