OPPO Reno 17 series teaser reveals glowing cat design ahead of November 9 launch
OPPO is confirmed to launch the Reno 17 series in China on November 9. So, we are just 2 days away from the launch, and got a video teaser revealing the first look of a Reno 17 device in unique glowing effect. The Reno 17 series may launch in China with Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro. Today, a new leak also unveiled that the Reno 17 series may arrive in India with the base model and a Reno 17c model.
OPPO Reno 17 series first look in unique cat glow effect
OPPO has released a new teaser video showcasing the design of its upcoming Reno 17 series. The video offers a partial look at the rear panels, but the company has yet to reveal the complete designs. The most noticeable detail is a cat-like glowing effect on the rear panel. Blue lighting highlights this unique finish, which could hint at the rumoured Encounter Cat Edition. This special edition could give the Reno 17 series a more distinctive look than the standard color options.
The teaser also shows a familiar Reno16 series camera module layout. However, OPPO appears to have refined the rear panel finish and overall appearance. The company has yet to reveal more design details.
OPPO Reno17 series expected specifications
The OPPO Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro would feature a 1.5K 120Hz OLED screen, while the base model get a 6.59-inch screen and the Pro model would have a 6.32-inch compact display. Under the hood, the standard Reno17 would get a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, and a massive 8,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Pro variant would get also a 4nm processor with higher efficiency, the Dimensity 8550 Super, but a downgrade in battery with a 7,200mAh capacity.
For the camera, both the models would feature a triple camera setup featuring a 200MP primary camera along with a Ultrawide and telephoto sensor. On the front, it may offer a 50MP selfie shooter.
The OPPO Reno 17 series will arrive in common storage configurations and color choices. For colors, this series will arrive in Snow White, Ice Moon White, Cocoa Brown, Starlight Pink and New Encounter Cat Color options. Meanwhile, the Reno 17 duo will have 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB storage configurations.
The OPPO Reno 17 series may arrive in India in December. However, we may see a Reno 17c model in India, replacing the Reno 17 Pro mode. The Reno 17c model may come with a palstic frame, Dimensity 7300 SoC, same 1.5K 120Hz OLED panel, triple camera setup, and same design as the other two models.
