OPPO Find X10 Ultra tipped to get a massive 10x periscope camera upgrade
OPPO may have launched the Find X9 Ultra only a few months ago, but leaks about its successor have already started appearing online. A new report from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the upcoming OPPO Find X10 Ultra could receive a major upgrade to its long-range zoom camera, potentially making it one of the strongest camera phones of 2027.
OPPO Find X10 Ultra could bring a larger 10x telephoto sensor
According to the latest leak, OPPO is working on a significantly improved 10x periscope telephoto camera for the OPPO Find X10 Ultra.
The current OPPO Find X9 Ultra features a 50MP periscope camera with 10x optical zoom and a relatively small 1/2.75-inch sensor. While the setup delivers impressive long-range zoom performance, it struggles more in low-light situations compared to the phone’s larger 3x telephoto camera.
The leak claims that OPPO plans to address this limitation by switching to a much larger 1/1.95-inch sensor while keeping the same 50MP resolution and 10x optical zoom capability.
That would be a significant jump in sensor size. A larger sensor can capture more light, improve image quality, reduce noise, and deliver better results in challenging lighting conditions. If the information proves accurate, the Find X10 Ultra could offer a noticeable improvement in long-distance photography.
OPPO continues to focus on flagship camera performance
The Find X9 Ultra has already earned attention for its Hasselblad-tuned camera system, including its rare 10x optical periscope lens. OPPO appears determined to push that advantage even further with the next generation.
The tipster also noted that the new sensor will not be the Sony LYT-600, although the exact sensor model remains unknown at this stage.
Apart from the camera upgrade, no details about the display, battery, processor, or overall hardware have surfaced yet. Since the OPPO Find X10 Ultra is expected to arrive in 2027, more leaks will likely emerge in the coming months.
