Vivo V80 Lite 5G launches with 10,000mAh battery and 120Hz AMOLED
It’s September 3, and Vivo launched the anticipated Vivo V80 Lite 5G global variant in Malaysia. The global variant arrived with some distinct features compared to the V80 Lite 5G Indian variant. It features a bigger battery, though a downgrade in processor.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Specifications and Features
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G features a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display offering a 1.5K resolution, 449ppi pixel density, and up to 2,000 nits of HBM brightness. It supports P3 wide color gamut, HDR10+, and 1.07 billion colors. This device measures 8.59mm in thickness and weighs 224 grams. It also features IP68 and IP69 ratings and has passed five MIL-STD environmental tests.
Under the hood, the V80 Lite Malaysian variant is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 7300e chipset and paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. While the Indian variant features a 4nm Dimensity 7360 Turbo. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6, bringing features such as Origin Island, Drag & Go, Office Kit, Google Gemini, and AI Captions.
On the rear panel, it sports a dual-camera setup featuring the same 50MP main sensor (IMX 852) alongside a 2MP depth sensor, as on the Indian one. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera with a 90-degree field of view. The photography features include AI Erase and Check-In Watermark.
The significant highlight is the massive 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging and reverse charging. Vivo says the battery can retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles. This is equivalent to around seven years of use under simulated conditions. Vivo also claims the V80 Lite 5G set a Guinness World Record for battery endurance. It lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes during continuous livestream testing.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Price and availability in Malaysia
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G comes in three colors: pink, green, and black. It starts at MYR 1,399 ($346) for the 6GB/128GB version. The price goes up to MYR 1,899 ($470) for the 8GB/256GB variant.
