Xiaomi is working to introduce a Redmi Smartphone with an 8,500+ mAh battery

Tired of your phone dying before the day ends, no matter how expensive it is? Chinese Smartphone manufacturers have been trying with heart and soul to take the battery capacity beyond the limit for a while. A new rumor claimed that Xiaomi is testing a Redmi smartphone with a battery capacity between 8,500mAh and 9,000mAh.

According to a new report from Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has already conducted internal testing on the device and is using a custom-built battery that maintains its charging cycle durability.

The Redmi phone in question is reportedly 8.5mm thick. This is in line with most devices from the brand. It’s still unclear which Redmi model will be the first to feature the new high-capacity battery. For now, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro—released earlier this year with a 7,550mAh battery—holds the title of Xiaomi’s most powerful battery smartphone

Honor is rumored to launch a phone with a 10,000mAh battery. iQOO is already releasing phones with 8,000mAh batteries. So, the competition is on about making a revolution in Smartphones battery segment.
