Vivo Y28 5G launched in India with Dimensity 6020 SoC and a 5000mAh battery

After numerous leaks and sightings, Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y28 5G model in India. This budget-friendly smartphone is the direct successor to last year’s Y27.

The Vivo Y28 5G features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel that has an HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a water drop notch. The Vivo Y28 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC and paired up with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB storage with an extra memory card slot. It runs Android 13 OS-based FunTouch OS 13 custom skin out of the box.

On the back, it features triple cameras – a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP auxiliary lens, and an LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. A 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support boasts it.

The other features are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 186 grams in weight, 8.09mm in thickness, IP54 water and dust rating, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G support, and Dual SIM.

This device will come in two colors- Glitter Aqua and Crystal Purple. The device starts at 13,999 INR for the 4GB + 128GB version. The 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB options cost 15,499 INR and 16,999 INR, respectively. You can buy it via Amazon, Croma, JioMart, Croma, and others.
