Vivo Y21T specification leaks, confirms resemblance to Y33s. The Vivo Y21T is scheduled to sell on January 3 and will feature the Snapdragon 680 processor. We were skeptical that it was a completely new device, and we were right that it’s the Vivo Y33s equipped with the Qualcomm chipset and some minor modifications.
The complete list of features of the Y21T was released online and revealed that the company had has changed the selfie camera as well as the SoC and gave it a new model number. The Vivo model will sport a 6.58″ LCD screen with full HD and resolution. The notch is waterdrop-like for the 8-megapixel selfie camera, in contrast to the 16-megapixel sensor found in the Vivo Y33s.

The camera trio on the back is the same, though 50 MP f/1.8 central + 2 MP f/2.4 Bokeh and two MP f/2.4 macro. Its Snapdragon 680 chipset comes with 128GB of storage (expandable by using an exclusive Micro SD slot) and 4GB of RAM. Vivo will give users the option to increase memory up to 1 GB. However, we’re still not convinced that it’s working and if it is worthy of being advertised.
The Y21T will run FunTouch OS 12, which appears to be Android 12, but it is Android 11 on the inside. The phone will also feature a mAh battery of 5,000 mAh and 18W fast charging via the USB-C port at the lower. The report claims that the phone will retail for INR 16,490, which is the company’s attempt to gain market share away from the popular Realme 8 and the recently launched Redmi Note11T. We’ll closely follow the launch on Monday and update you with the exact announcement when the phone is unveiled.
