Vivo Y18 launched in India with magnificent design, 6.56-inch display, Helio G85, and iP54 rating

Premium features are now reaching cheaper phones faster. Vivo quietly added the vivo Y18 to its Indian website. The phone has a high-end design on the back. Check full specs here.

It features a 6.56-inch display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 720×1612 resolution. The power button has a fingerprint sensor on the side. Vivo claims it has the brightest display in its class, reaching 840 nits in High Brightness Mode. It’s surprising because it’s an LCD, not OLED. TUV certifies it for genuine eye protection. It measures 163.63 x 75.58 x 8.39 mm in dimension and weighs 185g.

The vivo Y18 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC and paired up with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of expandable storage. It runs on Android 14 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 on top.

On the front, it features an 8 MP selfie camera. On the back, there is a 50 MP rear camera. The Y18 also comes with stereo speakers and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. It runs on a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging.

It comes with a Gem Green version that uses a 3D micro-sculpting process, creating silver ripples. A nm scale coating gives it a gem-like texture, inspiring the color name. You can also choose the quieter Space Black option, which has a subtle appearance resembling a ‘starry night’ when examined closely.
