Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y05e in Bangladesh. The company announced the budget handset through its official Facebook page and product website. The Vivo Y05e comes with entry-level specs for everyday use and a sleek design at just BDT 16,599.
Vivo Y05e eye-protected HD+ Display
The Vivo Y05e packs a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with 1600 × 720 pixels resolution. Moreover, the panel switches between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates. Brightness peaks at 570 nits in high brightness mode. Therefore, Sunlight Display keeps content visible under harsh daylight. Additionally, an eye protection mode warms tones at night and reduces blue light.
Slim design with two elegant colors
This device measures 167.30 × 76.95 × 8.19mm and weighs 199g. Hence, it stays comfortable during long commutes.
The phone arrives in Crest Teal and Grand Black. Crest Teal borrows white wave patterns from cresting ocean spray. Grand Black instead delivers a deep matte finish with fine texture.
Entry-level processor and up to 8GB RAM
Under the hood, the 12nm Unisoc T7225 octa-core chipset powers the device. All eight cores run at 1.8GHz. Vivo ships a single 4GB + 64GB variant with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. However, software unlocks another 4GB of extended RAM. Consequently, multitasking and app switching feel smoother. A dedicated microSD slot also accepts cards up to 2TB.
OriginOS 6 with AI tools on board
The device runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Therefore, users get AI Creation, which rewrites, summarises, and expands notes. AI Documents automatically straightens and crops scanned pages for clearer reading. Instant Wake also resumes previous tasks the moment users plug in a charger.
Vivo Yo5e camera setup
For photography, an 8MP f/2.0 rear camera handles the main duties. Meanwhile, a 5MP f/2.2 front camera takes selfies. Vivo includes Photo, Night, Portrait, Pro, Pano, Live Photo, and Documents modes. Besides the cameras, a 5x Ultra-Bright Flashlight lights up to seven metres ahead. It offers four adjustable levels, which helps during load shedding and dark commutes.
5,150mAh battery for everyday use
The 5,150mAh battery anchors the package, while a 15W charger tops it up. Vivo claims 33 hours of video playback and 28 hours of 4G calls. Similarly, it promises 24 hours of Spotify and 11 hours of FPS gaming. Notably, the battery keeps at least 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. That roughly equals four years of daily use. The phone also shares power through 6W reverse charging. Even at 1% battery, users can still place emergency calls.
Built to survive drops, dust, and splashes
Vivo has certified the Y05e for military-grade drop resistance. Accordingly, the phone survived 42,000 small-height drop tests plus -20°C and 50°C extremes.
An AirSpring case, armor-like mainboard bracket, and die-cast aluminium frame absorb impact. In addition, the IP64 rating blocks dust completely and resists splashes from any direction. Wet-Hand and Greasy-Hand Touch keep the screen responsive when fingers are damp or oily.
Connectivity and other features
The phone holds two nano-SIM cards alongside a separate microSD slot. However, it supports 4G only and skips 5G entirely. Other features include a side fingerprint sensor, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and FM radio. Note that NFC and a gyroscope are missing.
