Vivo X100 series to launch globally with a major camera upgrade in November

The Vivo X90 series is out now worldwide, and news about the next-gen lineup is already spreading. The upcoming Vivo X100 series will have three models: X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+. The Pro+ model might come out next year after the other two versions are revealed later this year. Excitingly, a source says the series will have better cameras, including a periscope zoom lens. Here’s more info.

Rumors on Weibo about the Vivo X100 series: Some say it won’t have a periscope lens, while others think it will. Vivo has used periscope lenses in their flagship phones since Vivo X70 Pro in 2021. So it doesn’t make sense for X100 to not have it.

According to a recent report, the X100 is expected to have a main camera with a Sony IMX9-series 1/14x-inch sensor. It will also include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens (Sony IMX663) and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens (OmniVision OV64B). The main camera is an upgraded version of the IMX9-series sensor and an improved model of the IMX866. On the other hand, the X100 Pro is rumored to have a 1-inch main camera, a new periscope zoom camera, and possibly the 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide lens.

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro will use the Dimensity 9300 chip. They might come out in China by November this year. The X100 Pro+ could launch in early 2024 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
