Vivo has been teasing the Vivo S2 in India over the past few days, and the company has now confirmed several of its key specifications ahead of its August 6 launch. The upcoming smartphone will feature a 1.5K curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, a 7,050mAh battery, and 4K video recording from both front and rear cameras.
Vivo S2 specifications confirmed
The Vivo S2 features a slim 7.99mm profile with what the company calls an Iconic Camera Design. It sports a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
For photography, the Vivo S2 packs a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary camera and a 32MP front-facing camera. Both cameras support 4K video recording. Additionally, the phone offers Aura Light Portrait and Dual View Video, allowing users to record videos using the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Under the hood, the Vivo S2 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset. Vivo claims the processor can achieve an AnTuTu score of around 970,000. The handset also packs a massive 7,050mAh battery, which the company says is designed for extended gaming, video streaming, and everyday use.
The smartphone ships with OriginOS 6 and includes several AI-powered features, such as AI Creation, AI Transcript Assist, Vivo Office Kit, and Circle to Search 2.0. Vivo has also added Shake and Share, which lets users quickly transfer photos and 4K videos between compatible devices without using mobile data.
The company has also confirmed three color options for the smartphone: Silk White, Sapphire Blue, and Regal Bronze.
Vivo will officially launch the S2 in India on August 6, when the company is expected to announce its pricing, availability, and remaining specifications.
