Tecno Spark 9 officially released in India with Helio G37, 6.6″ 90Hz display. The Spark 9 series was introduced by Tecno in early June, with the Spark 9 Pro coming first and the Spark 9T following a few weeks later. The most economical of the two is now available, albeit they might not be accessible in areas where the vanilla model has already launched, such as India.
The Helio G37 powers both the Tecno Spark 9 and the 9T. Three memory setups are offered: 3/64GB, 4/64GB, and 6/128GB. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12.0 and 8.6. The display is the same, a 6.6″ IPS LCD with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz refresh rate. Its resolution is 720 by 1,600 pixels (20:9). It has an 8MP camera notch (a downgrade from the 32MP camera of the 9T).

There is a 13MP main camera and a secondary module, which are both rather similar cameras on the back (its function is unclear, probably a depth sensor). The camera bump houses the fingerprint reader as well (instead of being mounted on the side). Moving on, the battery’s 5,000mAh capacity remains the same.
The retail box for the phone includes a TPU protective case in addition to a charger and cable. Keep in mind that this phone has another drawback over the T-phone in that it uses microUSB rather than USB-C. The 3.5mm headphone jack is still present, which is a positive.
The base price of the Tecno Spark 9 is 9,500, or roughly $120. The Spark 9T launched for the equivalent of $190 in Nigeria but is not yet available there. Beginning on July 23, Amazon India will begin selling the Spark 9.
