But it’s the base model you can buy now. It starts at £1,299 in the UK and €1,399 in Europe. The Xperia 1 IV is currently out for pre-order through Amazon with a June 11 delivery date, beginning June 16 for those living in UK.
The phone features the Snapdragon 8G1 SoC, a 6.5-inch 130Hz 4K AMOLED screen made out of Gorilla Glass 5, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W wired charging capabilities. Depending on your liking, there are five laser-powered cameras onboard: a 12MP selfie camera on the front with 79% improved low-light performance, a notched quad camera system made up of 12 MP primary rear sensor; 12 MP telephoto front sensor; 12 MP ultrawide front sensor; and a 3D ToF camera to help achieve smoother bokeh (the gradation between the foreground subject like trees and background).
