Samsung’s budget phone, the Galaxy A08, is on the verge of an official launch. It appeared in the Google Play Console in August and received certification from Anatel in Brazil. Now, an online retailer in the UAE has listed the Samsung Galaxy A08, revealing its key specifications. Compared to the Galaxy A07, the most notable change appears to be its 20% larger battery, while most of the remaining specifications remain largely unchanged.
At the online retailer, it is available for purchase for AED 625 ($170), down from the recommended price of AED 659 ($179).
Samsung Galaxy A08 Specifications
From the retailer listing, we learned that the Galaxy A08 features a 6.7-inch 90Hz PLS LCD screen. The phone is powered by an octa-core chipset clocked at up to 2.2GHz, reportedly the MediaTek Helio G99. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Samsung may also offer a 6GB/128GB variant.
The Galaxy A08 also comes with a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. One of its main upgrades is the larger 6,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging.
Other features include dual-SIM support, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and an 8mm-thick design. Samsung will offer the Galaxy A08 in Navy Blue, Silver, and Green color options.
