Samsung confirms Galaxy M47 5G launch date and key specifications in India

Samsung has officially revealed more details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M47 5G after recently teasing the smartphone in India. In our previous report, we covered the device’s design and leaked specifications based on benchmark listings. Now, Samsung has confirmed several key features and announced the phone’s official launch date.

The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will launch in India on June 29. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will arrive in Blaze Blue and Rogue Red color options.

Samsung Galaxy M47 5G specifications officially confirmed

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy M47 5G will feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. It will get a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front.

For photography, the Galaxy M47 5G will feature a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, users will get a 12MP selfie camera inside a punch-hole cutout.

Samsung has further confirmed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, promising faster app loading and smoother multitasking. The smartphone will run One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. The company promises six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The company has also revealed that the phone will pack a large battery with 45W fast charging and bypass charging.

While Samsung has not officially revealed the processor yet, a recent Geekbench listing suggests the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.

With the launch now confirmed for June 29, Samsung is expected to reveal the remaining details, including pricing and availability, in the coming days. Based on previous reports, the device may cost around ₹25,000 in the Indian market.
