Redmi Turbo 5 launches in India with a 7,540mAh battery and Dimensity 8500-Ultra

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Turbo 5 in India, bringing one of the largest batteries in its segment, along with flagship-inspired hardware. The Indian variant is nearly identical to the Chinese model, with the only difference being a slightly smaller battery capacity. While the Chinese version packs a 7,560mAh cell, the Indian model arrives with a 7,540mAh battery.

The Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi has also included a 3D Ice Loop cooling system with a large 5,300mm² vapor chamber. The phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi has promised to receive four years of Android updates and six years of security patches.

For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, users get a 20MP selfie camera for photos and video calls.
The Redmi Turbo 5 features a massive 7,540mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging.

Other notable features include a premium metal frame, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an IR blaster, RGB ring lights integrated into the camera module, and an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.
Price and Availabilty



The Redmi Turbo 5 is available in Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue, and Turbo White. Pricing starts at INR 37,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at INR 40,999. Sales begin on June 19 through Mi.com, Amazon India, and selected offline retail stores.
