After months of leaks and teasers, Redmi has officially launched the Redmi K90 Ultra in China. The new performance-focused flagship combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with a built-in active cooling fan, a massive 8,550mAh battery, and a 165Hz AMOLED display aimed at gamers and power users.
Redmi K90 Ultra Specifications
The Redmi K90 Ultra features a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, 3,500 nits peak brightness, and full-array DC dimming.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with a dedicated D2 display chip for smoother gaming performance. Redmi has also integrated an active cooling fan, which the company claims can reduce the phone’s temperature by up to 10°C during intensive gaming sessions.
For photography, the phone packs a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Redmi K90 Ultra houses a massive 8,550mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Redmi also includes a 100W GaN charger inside the retail box.
Other highlights include Bose-tuned dual stereo speakers, IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
Redmi K90 Ultra price and availability
The phone is available in Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue color options. Pricing starts at CNY 2,999 for the promotional 16GB+256GB variant, while the regular 12GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 3,199. The 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB variants cost CNY 3,499 and CNY 3,699, respectively.
As of now, the Redmi K90 Ultra is exclusive to the Chinese market. However, Xiaomi may introduce a similar device under the POCO brand in global markets in the coming months.
