Redmi’s next flagship smartphone, Redmi K100, is all set to launch in China on October 27. Ahead of the official launch, the Chinese company revealed the key specs and design. It will join the Redmi K100 Pro duo: K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which launched back in August this year.
Today, Redmi teased the official launch date on a Weibo post, teasing its strong gaming performance capability and massive battery power. The official teaser also revealed its design and a new color.
Redmi K100 in New Firefly Green color
In the teaser post, the Redmi K100 arrived in a new Firefly Green color option. The phone features a metal frame in a light green finish, a flat display with a centred punch-hole cutout, and a wide horizontal camera module on the rear. The Bose tuning logo beside the camera module highlights its audio capabilities.
Dual-core gaming powerhouse with a massive battery
The power-packed flagship Redmi K100 is confirmed to be a dual-core gaming powerhouse along with a dedicated graphics card for the first time. For performance, the K100 will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset alongside a dedicated D2 display chip.
The company also confirmed that the Redmi K100 will feature a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This may offer 100W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging.
The phone will sport a 6.83-inch 165Hz AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, 1.5K resolution, and will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 based. Its Super Pixel technology is claimed to deliver 2K-level clarity while maintaining the power consumption of a 1K display.
Past rumors and leaks also claim that the flagship will offer a 200MP main camera, a periscope telephoto camera, stereo speakers, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP68-rated protection.
