Redmi 17C 5G launches with 120Hz display, Dimensity 6300 SoC and 6,000mAh battery

Following a premature retailer listing earlier this month, the Redmi 17C 5G is now officially unveiled. As the name suggests, the Redmi 17C 5G is the 5G version of the Redmi 17C 4G.

The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 810 nits of peak brightness. An 8MP selfie camera sits inside the waterdrop notch.

The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset powers it. The chipset is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can also expand the storage through a microSD card. On the software side, it gets HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.

At the back, the phone has a single 50MP main camera. The phone packs a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi 17C 5G comes in black, brown with a vegan leather finish, and purple color options. Xiaomi lists the phone at SGD 279, or around $220, in Singapore. The company will likely launch the Redmi 17C 5G in more markets in the coming weeks.
