Redmi 17 5G launched in India with a 7,900mAh battery
Redmi has launched the Redmi 17 5G in India, with a bigger battery compared to the global variant. Basically, the Indian variant comes with a slight big battery, but retains the same design and major specs.

The Redmi 17 5G Indian variant features a 7,900mAh battery, compared to the 7,500mAh battery of the global variant. The charging support is the same as the global one: 45W wired and 22.5W reverse charging.
Apart from the battery, all other specifications and features remain the same. The Redmi 17 5G features a 6.9-inch 120Hz HD+ LCD with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage via an extra microSD card slot as well.
On the rear panel, this device features a 50MP main rear camera paired with an auxiliary lens. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
Among other features, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP64 rating, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS.
Redmi 17 5G Price and Availability in India
The Redmi 17 5G is available in three color options: Absolute Black, Eternal Orange, and Endless Blue. The pricing starts at INR 23,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant, whereas the 8GB/128GB option costs INR 26,999. The sales will begin on September 10.
