Realme C100 Review: 8000mAh Battery, G92 Max, 50MP Camera and IP68/69K certified

The Realme C100 has been the talk of Bangladesh for the past couple of days. Finally, the wait is over; the Realme C100 is official in Bangladesh. The device comes with a major focus on stylish design, a massive battery, and strong durability features. Let’s take a closer look and see what this budget segment offers.

Flagship-level design

The Realme C100 measures 166.48mm in height, 78.23mm in width, and 8.63mm in thickness, while weighing around 219g. The phone is on the heavier side, mainly due to its large battery and durable build.

The Realme C100 comes in three color options: Glory White, Victory Purple and Endurance Brown.

The back panel uses a shimmer coating with a 7-layer structure built through six precision steps. realme says the coating is less than 0.6mm thick, creating a 3D light effect when it catches the light. A metal-style accent adds a more premium look, while the 2.5D curved frame makes the phone more comfortable to hold.

One standout design feature is the interactive smart lighting on the back. It responds to music, incoming calls, and the camera countdown, while also working as a visual notification system.

The lighting offers 9 colors and 5 glowing modes, letting you customize its look and how it responds to different activities.

Ultra smooth 120Hz eye comfort display

The Realme C100 features a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate, though it defaults to 120Hz. The high refresh rate makes scrolling and everyday animations feel smoother, while the 1200-nit peak brightness should help with outdoor visibility.

The display uses an HD+ resolution of 1570×720 pixels, resulting in 254 PPI on the large 6.8-inch screen. This means it will not look as sharp as a Full HD+ panel, especially when viewing text or detailed content. The screen also covers 83% of the NTSC color gamut, which should be adequate for everyday use but may not deliver particularly vivid colors. Eye Comfort Mode helps reduce eye strain during longer sessions. Overall, it should work well for browsing, social media, and YouTube, but users who prioritize display sharpness may want a higher-resolution panel.

To keep the front compact, the ambient light sensor is hidden under the top of the screen. realme warns that colored or dark screen protectors with poor light transmission may block it and affect normal operation. Use a clear protector.

Performance and Gaming

The Realme C100 runs on the MediaTek Helio G92 Max, an octa-core chipset paired with an ARM Mali-G52 GPU clocked at 1GHz. It comes with LPDDR4X RAM in 6GB and 8GB options, with both variants offering 128GB storage. The chipset is designed for everyday use and casual gaming, rather than demanding 3D games at high graphics settings.

Flux Engine

The Flux Engine debuts in the C Series with the C100. realme Lab testing claims up to 22% smoother loading of heavy apps, 29% smoother app scrolling and 15% faster everyday response. It also improves app switching, making it smoother to move between apps.

Extended Use Care

The Extended Use Care feature, available under Phone Manager → Tools, automatically optimizes the system every month to maintain smooth performance. realme claims it can deliver 20% faster launches for common apps and 20% smoother overall performance.

Realme also says the 6GB+128GB and higher variants passed its 48-month smooth performance test. However, the company notes this doesn’t guarantee the phone will remain completely lag-free, as storage usage, network conditions, and user habits can affect performance.

Multitasking and Storage

According to realme’s lab testing, the C100 can keep more than 21 apps active in the background and store over 40,000 photos. These figures may vary depending on actual usage and storage conditions.

Gaming with GT BOOST

The GT BOOST feature uses AI scheduling to allocate system resources more efficiently during gaming. With GT Mode enabled, realme claims up to 21% higher average frame rates and up to 53% better frame-rate stability than with GT Mode off.

In a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang test at HD quality with Pro Gamer Mode, the phone averaged 59.36 fps. This should be enough for popular MOBA and similar games, while heavier titles will likely require lower graphics settings.

Hyper Cooling

The Hyper Cooling feature can be accessed from Settings → Battery → Phone Cooling and adjusts system performance to reduce temperature with one tap. realme’s tests show it can lower the phone’s temperature by up to 2.8°C within 2 minutes between gaming sessions.

It can also help manage heat after extended video recording, streaming or navigation, making it useful beyond gaming.

Software and AI

The Realme C100 runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The software brings a frosted glass effect, new icons, Mini Capsule 4.0 for live notifications and expanded customization options.

Google Gemini

The phone supports Google Gemini, which you can launch by pressing and holding the power button after setting it up under Settings → Accessibility & Convenience → AI Dynamic Button. Gemini can help with studying and summarizing complex topics, generating ideas, creating images from text, and guided learning.

Circle to Search and AI Smart Loop

Circle to Search lets you circle, highlight or tap items on the screen to search for more information. Meanwhile, AI Smart Loop recommends suitable apps based on what you are doing.

AI Outdoor Mode

AI Outdoor Mode is designed for outdoor use and applies several one-tap optimizations. It can also automatically turn on or off for selected apps.

The feature includes AI Performance Optimization for smoother performance in high temperatures, while AI Faster Orders prioritizes network access for supported food delivery apps. It also includes Enhance Screen Brightness for maximum brightness, Extend Auto Screen-Off for up to 30 minutes and Sound Alert Amplifier to maximize notification and ringtone volume.

Battery and Charging

The Realme C100 packs a massive 8000mAh Titan Battery with 7 years of life, making battery life one of its biggest highlights. realme Lab testing shows that the phone can still have around 40% battery left after a simulated 24-hour heavy-use day, including 2 hours of gaming, 3.5 hours of social media, 2.5 hours of streaming, 2 hours of other apps, and around 14 hours of standby.

At 100% charge, realme claims more than 24 hours of streaming, 20 hours of navigation and 13 hours of gaming. Even at just 1% battery, the phone can reportedly deliver 30+ minutes of calling and 10+ hours of standby.

The battery is designed to operate between -20°C and 53°C. In a 45°C environment, realme claims over 20 hours of navigation and 23 hours of streaming, which should be useful in Bangladesh’s hot summer weather.

Realme also claims the battery can retain at least 97% health after one year and at least 80% after seven years. Its safety system includes aging, drop, overcharge and hot-and-cold tests.

AI Power Saving

The AI Power Saving feature, available under Settings → Battery → Power Saving Settings, intelligently adjusts performance, display and video playback to extend battery life. realme claims it can provide around 2 extra hours of use per day, with real-time battery tracking available on the home screen.

45W SUPERVOOC Fast Charging

The C100 supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, along with PPS 45W, PD 13.5W and BC1.2 10W charging standards. realme claims a 5-minute charge can provide up to 4.2 hours of calling, 1.7 hours of streaming or 48 minutes of gaming.

The charger is included in the box. Charging an 8000mAh battery from empty still takes time, but fast-charging support makes short top-ups more useful.

Bypass Charging

The Bypass Charging feature lets the phone draw power directly from the charger instead of charging the battery. This helps reduce heat when using the phone while plugged in.

Realme claims the feature can keep temperatures up to 1.1°C lower than standard charging during gaming, streaming, or navigation.

10W Reverse Charging

The C100 also supports 10W reverse charging, letting you charge other compatible devices. realme claims it can provide 10+ full charges for a smartwatch, 10+ charges for earbuds and more than one full charge for another phone.

Reverse charging requires USB OTG and a compatible USB-C to USB-C cable, while actual compatibility depends on the connected device. This can be particularly useful during load-shedding and power cuts.

Durability and Protection

The Realme C100 is built for durability and carries IP69 Pro, IP69K, IP68 and IP66 protection. realme says it was tested under IEC 60529 at 6 meters for 30 minutes, which is around four times the depth of a typical 1.5-meter IP68 test.

The phone is designed to handle heavy rain, water and dust, with a drainage system that helps quickly remove water and dust from the device.

Military-Grade Shock Resistance

The C100 also passed MIL-STD-810H shock tests. realme claims the phone can withstand 2-meter drops in laboratory testing, covering common accidents such as falling from a desk, slipping from a pocket or dropping down stairs.

ArmorShell Glass Protection

The display uses ArmorShell glass, which realme tested through repeated drops onto a marble surface. The screen reportedly survived 150 drops from 1 meter, 50 drops from 1.8 meters and 25 drops from 2 meters during testing.

ArmorShell Protection

The ArmorShell design provides 360-degree protection through a drop-resistant case, a strengthened mid-frame, airbag cushioning, and reinforced corners. Together, these features are designed to protect the phone from everyday impacts and accidental drops.

Rain Touch Mode

The Rain Touch Mode, available under Settings → Accessibility & Convenience → Touch Assist, improves touch accuracy when the screen is wet. realme claims up to a 35% higher touch success rate in wet conditions.

The feature also works with gloves, oily fingers, and wet hands, making the phone easier to use in challenging conditions.

Camera & Photography

The realme C100 features a single 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 75° field of view, a 5-element lens, and autofocus. There is no ultra-wide or telephoto camera, so the setup focuses on standard photography.

For selfies, the C100 uses an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, an 80° field of view, and a 4-element lens.

The rear camera supports Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Movie, Slo-mo, Dual-view Video, Time-lapse, Hi-Res, Pro, Text Scanner, Tilt-Shift, Street, Google Lens, and Underwater modes.

The front camera supports Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Dual-view Video, and Time-lapse modes.

Video Recording

The rear camera can record video at up to 1080p at 30fps, while slow-motion recording is available at 720p at 120fps. It also supports 1080p time-lapse, cinematic video, dual-view video and up to 10× digital zoom.

The front camera supports 1080p video at 30fps with Retouch enabled and 720p recording at 30fps. The C100 does not support 4K video recording.

Standout Camera Features

The Underwater Photography mode works with the phone’s water resistance for shooting in environments such as pools and beaches. Dual-view Video mode records from the front and rear cameras simultaneously, while Portrait Mode and the 50MP AI Main Camera deliver more detailed everyday shots.

AI Image Editing

The Realme C100 also comes with several AI-powered image editing tools. AI Eraser removes unwanted objects from photos, while AI Ultra Clarity improves image sharpness. AI Unblur helps clarify blurry shots, and AI Editor offers additional tools to refine photos.

Connectivity and Network

The realme C100 supports dual Nano-SIM 4G and has no eSIM or 5G support. It also features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB Type-C with OTG. There is no NFC or 3.5mm headphone jack, while Type-C digital and analog headphones are supported.

The AI Netpilot system improves weak-signal performance, with realme claiming up to 2dB stronger signal strength. For navigation, the phone supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and A-GNSS.

Security and Sensors

For security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition. Its sensor setup includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, e-compass and accelerometer.
