Realme 17 Pro+ leak hints at 200MP camera and 1.5K display

Realme is reportedly working on the Realme 17 Pro+, with new details about its display and camera setup now emerging. The smartphone is expected to remain an overseas-market model, as it reportedly will not launch in China.

Realme 17 Pro+ key specifications leaked on Weibo

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Realme 17 Pro+ will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate. The exact refresh rate is still unknown, but it could support at least 144Hz, similar to the previous generation.

The phone may also feature a triple-rear camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor. It will reportedly be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. An earlier report suggested that the periscope camera could use Samsung’s JN5 sensor and offer 3.5x optical zoom, while the primary camera could use Samsung’s HP5 sensor.

Realme 16 Pro Plus

Details about the chipset and battery remain unknown. For comparison, the Realme 16 Pro+ packs a 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging. The Realme 17 Pro+ could retain a similar capacity or feature an even larger battery, considering some Realme 16-series models already offer up to 8,000mAh cells.

There is currently no word on the Realme 17 Pro+’s launch date. The latest leak claims that the phone will be exclusive to overseas markets, meaning it may not arrive in China.
