Realme has officially confirmed the launch date of the upcoming Realme 16T 5G in India after weeks of leaks and rumors. The device will debut on May 22 as the successor to last year’s Realme 15T. Realme confirms key specs of the upcoming Realme 16T
According to the company, the Realme 16T will pack the largest battery ever featured on a numbered Realme smartphone. The device includes a massive 8,000mAh battery, and Realme claims it can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge. The phone will also support 45W fast charging along with bypass charging support.
Realme further claims that the device can provide up to 11 hours of continuous 60fps BGMI gameplay. Despite carrying such a large battery, the phone maintains a slim 8.8mm profile.
On the front, the device will feature a large 6.8-inch flat display. Realme also uses an aluminium alloy material around the camera module, while the side frame carries a metallic-style finish. The company will offer the phone in Aurora Green, Starlight Red, and Starlight Black color options.
While Realme has not confirmed the full specifications yet, recent leaks already revealed several key details. The phone recently appeared on Geekbench with the Dimensity 6300 chipset. Some reports also suggest that Realme may use a slightly modified version of the chip under the name Dimensity 6360.
The Geekbench listing further revealed 8GB RAM and Android 16. Reports also suggest that the device may launch in multiple storage variants, including 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB configurations.
