Realme 16 5G Specs and Design leak with Dimensity 6400 Turbo, 7000mAh battery

A fresh leak has surfaced online, revealing the Realme 16 5G‘s design and key specifications. The upcoming mid-range smartphone from Realme appears to focus heavily on performance, battery life, and durability. Therefore, it is a strong contender in the 5G segment.

According to the leaked specs, the Realme 16 5G will feature a 6.57-inch FHD+ flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by AGC DT-Star D+ tempered glass. Additionally, the flat-panel design suggests a more practical and durable approach than curved displays.

Under the hood, the device is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with Android 16. As a result, users can expect a modern software experience out of the box.

Camera and Design

In terms of photography, the Realme 16 5G is said to feature a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a selfie mirror module. On the front, users can expect a 50MP selfie camera. This is quite impressive for this segment.

The latest promotional image further confirms the unique “Selfie Mirror” design on the rear of the Realme 16. As shown in the image, the phone features a horizontally aligned, pill-shaped camera module with two main camera lenses on the left and a dedicated circular selfie mirror on the right. This mirror lets users preview themselves with the rear camera, making it easier to take high-quality selfies with the main sensor.

Despite the large battery, the device is said to measure just 8.1mm in thickness and weigh around 183 grams.

Connectivity, Durability & Battery

The leak also mentions extensive durability ratings, including IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66. This indicates strong resistance against dust, water, and high-pressure conditions. Additional features include an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.

Battery life also seems to be a major highlight. The phone is rumoured to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging. Consequently, users can expect long usage times with quick top-ups.

As of now, Realme has not officially confirmed these details. However, if the leaks prove accurate, the Realme 16 5G could set a new benchmark for battery capacity and durability within its price segment.
