Poco launched the Poco X8 along with the X8 Power in India today, as they promised. Just two days ago, we got the global variant of the X8. The company also introduced the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max back in March. The Indian variant gets a bigger battery and comes with up to 8GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the global version offers up to 12GB of RAM. However, the design and other specifications are the same as the global counterpart.
Xiaomi Poco X8 India Specifications and Features
The Poco X8 features a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 1280×2772 resolution, 12-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 3,500-nit peak brightness. The display supports 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling and Wet Touch 2.0 for better touch response when the screen is wet. This screen has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC and paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. The chipset can reach a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz and comes with an Adreno GPU. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top. Poco promises four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
For photography, it sports a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
The Poco X8 Indian variant features a 9,000 mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Among other features, it includes Google Gemini, Circle to Search, AI Erase, dual-video recording, NFC, dual SIM support, an infrared blaster, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Poco X8 India Price and Availability
Poco X8 comes in three colors: black, white, and orange. This device is available in three storage configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 8GB/256GB. The Poco X8 starts at Rs 29,999 (~$320) for the 6GB/128GB storage model. The 8GB/128GB model will cost Rs 32,999 (~$350), and the 8GB/128GB variant will cost Rs 35,999 (~$380).
