The phone is based on the Redmi Note 11T Pro and is also unavailable on the same level in India, limiting its appeal. Predictably, there was some criticism for choosing an LCD instead of AMOLED and some criticizing the decision. More consistent criticism came from people who felt that software stability was too low on both models and that only minor hardware changes separated them.

Nonetheless, the Poco phone F4 launched in India (and other markets). Promoting the phone during early bird discounts has helped drive sales – reducing base cost by €50/₹4000 ($60). Despite these criticisms, this marks a promising start for this model, and people have time to decide after reviewing their purchase.
