Poco M5 Specifications

The Poco M5 has a 6.58-inch LCD screen that can display Full HD+ quality at 90 frames per second and can sample touch input at 240 hertz. The display has a Gorilla Glass shield and a cutout for the 5MP front-facing camera.

Three cameras are in the rear, on an island stretching from one end to the other. In addition to the primary 50 MP f/1.8 camera, there are 2 MP f/2.4 macro and depth sensors. The Helio G99 chipset, the first in the series to be produced using TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing technology, is the star of the Poco M5’s feature list.

It has two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 CPU cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The Poco M5 has either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage space and 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. In addition, you may expand the device’s storage capacity by inserting a microSD card. MIUI 13 is preinstalled on the Poco M5 and sits atop Android 12.

It has a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh and can be charged at 18W. It weighs 201 grams. You may get it in Black, Green, or the one-of-a-kind Poco Yellow, which all have a plastic back with a leathery touch. A 4/64 GB model starts at €189, a 4/128 GB model goes for $209, and a 6/128 GB model costs €229. When the sale opens tomorrow, September 6th, the first customers will get a €20 discount.

A smaller selection of plans is available to Indian users: either the first plan for INR12,499 ($155) or the third plan for INR14,499 ($180), with a further INR1,500 ($20) discount available through partnering banks. The South Asian country’s sales launch date is September 13th, a week later than the rest of the world.

Poco M5s Specifications

The Poco M5s has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, but it only updates at 60 frames per second. The 12nm Helio G95 chipset has been available for over two years and provides the necessary power. The M5s has an improved camera configuration over the M5, with a 64MP f/1.8 primary unit and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter with a field of view of 118 degrees.

There are still a couple of 2MP cameras available for use with macro and depth effects. Hidden under a circular cutout is a 13-megapixel camera for taking selfies. While both phones have 5,000 mAh batteries, the M5s charge faster at 33W, so they can be fully charged in under an hour. Additionally, the Poco M5s is IP53 certified and sports a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a fingerprint scanner on the side, and NFC.

The phone is already on the market in India under the names Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 11 SE, so its features and specifications may sound familiar. One key distinction is the Poco M5s’s use of the newest version of MIUI on top of Android 12, MIUI 13.

The Poco M5s are available in grey, white, and blue and can be purchased from several online stores. Starting at €209 for 4/64 GB, €229 for 4/128 GB, and €249 for 6/128 GB. If you buy the phone tomorrow, September 6th, you’ll save €20 since there will be another early bird discount for all buyers. India will not receive the product despite being a key Poco market.
