Poco is preparing to launch the F9 Pro and F9 Ultra, and a new leak has revealed the complete specifications of both smartphones. The leak also includes renders and pricing details, confirming that both devices are essentially rebranded versions of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max.
The main difference will be their battery capacities. The Poco F9 Pro will reportedly pack a 6,330mAh battery, compared to the 8,580mAh cell on the Redmi K100 Pro. The F9 Ultra, meanwhile, will feature an 8,050mAh battery instead of the 9,070mAh battery found on the Redmi K100 Pro Max.
Poco F9 Pro brings a 185Hz AMOLED display
The Poco F9 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1156 x 2510 resolution. The panel will support a 185Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the phone will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will be available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
For photography, the F9 Pro will feature a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 32MP camera will handle selfies and video calls.
Poco F9 Ultra gets a larger display and periscope camera
The Poco F9 Ultra will step things up with a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED display. It will have a 1200 x 2608 resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
The phone will use the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset as the Pro model. It will also offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The camera setup will include the same 200MP primary camera, but the telephoto unit will be upgraded to a 50MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. A 50MP ultra-wide camera will complete the rear setup.
Both phones will feature Gorilla Glass 7i protection, metal frames, and fiberglass-reinforced plastic rear panels. They will also feature Bose-tuned speakers, IP69 dust and water resistance, and 100W wired charging. The F9 Ultra will additionally feature an LED notification ring on the rear.
Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra pricing
The Poco F9 Pro is expected to cost at least €799, while the Poco F9 Ultra could start at €999. However, the source describes these prices as “at least,” so they should be treated as estimates rather than confirmed pricing.
