OPPO Reno16 series global launch nears as Reno16 Pro gets certified, Pro Mini launch tipped

OPPO is preparing to launch the upcoming OPPO Reno 16 lineup in China later this month. The Reno 16 series would arrive in the global market as it has appeared on multiple certifications. Ahead of the official launch, a new leak has revealed key specifications of the OPPO Reno16 Pro and standard OPPO Reno16.
The Reno 16 Pro has appeared on India’s BIS certification platform and Indonesia’s TKDN database. These certifications hint that the launch could happen in Q3 alongside the Reno 16 Pro Mini.
OPPO Reno 16 Series Global: Metal Frame, Electronic Screen, and 200MP main camera
The OPPO Reno 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat display with LIPO technology for slimmer bezels. Meanwhile, the standard OPPO Reno 16 could arrive with a smaller 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED flat screen.

Both devices could feature premium metal frames along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for improved durability. OPPO may also introduce a Smart Electronic Screen feature supporting custom wallpapers and remote photo capture.
Under the hood, the Reno 16 Pro would use the Dimensity 9500s chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The standard Reno 16 could feature the Dimensity 8550 processor, focusing on flagship-level efficiency and performance.
Camera remains one of the biggest highlights of the Reno 16 lineup. Both devices may feature a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary sensor.

The setup may also include a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. On the front, OPPO is tipped to offer a 50MP selfie camera on both models.
The OPPO Reno 16 Pro could pack a massive 7000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The standard OPPO Reno 16 might feature a large 6700mAh battery with 80W charging support.
