Oppo is reportedly preparing its next-generation Reno series smartphones, with the Oppo Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro expected to bring notable upgrades in display technology, camera capabilities, and battery capacity. Although the company has not officially confirmed the specifications, early reports suggest both models could feature flat OLED displays, 50MP periscope telephoto cameras, and exceptionally large batteries.
Oppo Reno 17 Expected Specifications
The standard Oppo Reno 17 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch flat LTPS OLED display, offering an immersive viewing experience for everyday use, entertainment, and gaming.
For performance, Oppo could equip the smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The processor should handle everyday tasks, multitasking, and gaming with ease.
In the camera department, the Reno 17 could feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This camera would give users greater flexibility for zoom photography and capturing distant subjects.
Battery life could be one of its biggest strengths. Oppo may pack an impressive 8,000mAh battery into the Reno 17, offering considerably more capacity than most mainstream smartphones.
Reno 17 Pro Expected Specifications
The Oppo Reno 17 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch flat LTPS OLED display, making it slightly smaller than the standard Reno 17.
For performance, Oppo could equip the Pro model with the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset, offering a different processor option from the Snapdragon-powered standard variant.
In the camera department, the Reno 17 Pro could also feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This would give users more flexibility when capturing distant subjects and taking zoom shots.
The battery could be another major highlight. Oppo may pack a 7,200mAh battery into the Reno 17 Pro. Although this falls short of the standard Reno 17’s 8,000mAh capacity, it still offers an impressive battery size for a smartphone.
