OPPO has launched its latest smartphone, the OPPO Reno 16t, in China. This device arrives in the home market with a fashion-focused design, a pro triple camera setup, a MediaTek Dimensity 8-series chip, and a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED display.

The OPPO Reno 16t features a compact 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 2640×1216 resolution, 460 PPI density, and support for 1.07 billion colors. It supports up to 240Hz touch sampling, along with an 1800-nit global peak brightness rating. Promotional materials also mention up to 3600 nits of peak brightness.
The Reno 16t is powered by the Dimensity 8550 Super chipset and paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X/LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
On the rear panel, it features a triple camera setup including a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 116-degree field of view, and a 50P telephoto camera with OIS. The setup supports up to 3.5x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. There is a 50MP autofocus front camera for selfies and video calls. For photography and video features, it also supports dual-view video, HDR recording, and 4K video at 60fps.
The OPPO Reno 16t packs a 6,700mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC and 80W UFCS fast charging. The phone measures 8.36mm in thickness, although the exact thickness varies depending on the color option. It weighs up to 191g and carries IP68 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, and dual nano-SIM support. The phone also features an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and an AI Plus key on the left side for quick access to Mind Space.
Oppo Reno 16t Price and Availability
The Oppo Reno 16t starts at CNY 3,699 (around $550) in China for the 12GB+256GB variant. It comes in Heartbeat, Galaxy Purple, and Moonlight Black color options, while a higher 16GB+512GB variant is also available.
Overall, the Reno 16t does not bring major differences compared with the Reno 16 already available in China. The Reno 16t costs CNY 200 more than the Reno 16 and mainly targets the offline market, while the standard Reno 16 is more widely available.
