OPPO has started teasing the arrival of the OPPO Reno 16 series in India, as the launch will begin soon. The company has already listed the upcoming lineup on its official website, Flipkart, and Amazon.
The teaser images suggest that OPPO may introduce the OPPO Reno 16 along with the new Oppo Bubble accessory and the Enco Air 5 TWS earbuds. The Oppo Bubble is a magnetic circular AMOLED display that attaches to the back of a smartphone and acts as a viewfinder, allowing users to capture high-quality selfies using the rear cameras.
Reports suggest that the Reno 16 lineup includes several models, including the Reno 16, Reno 16c, Reno 16F, Reno 16 FS, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16 Pro Mini. However, not all variants will arrive in all markets.
For India, OPPO may initially launch the Reno 16 and Reno 16c. While the company has not announced an official launch date yet, OPPO’s global division has already confirmed a June 26 launch event in Spain and Thailand. This suggests the Indian debut could happen shortly afterward.
OPPO Reno 16 specifications leaked ahead of launch
While OPPO has not officially confirmed the specifications, recent leaks have revealed what the upcoming OPPO Reno 16 could offer.
The smartphone is expected to feature a compact 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the OPPO Reno 16 could arrive with an impressive triple 50MP camera setup. The system may include a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, users may get a 50MP selfie camera for high-resolution photos and video calls. The device may pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
According to the leak, the OPPO Reno 16 will feature a premium metal frame, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, and an IP69 rating for enhanced dust and water resistance.
On the software side, the phone might run Android 16 with ColorOS 16.1 out of the box. OPPO may also offer a generous 5 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates, making the Reno 16 one of the most future-proof smartphones in its segment.
